IN 2001 my son and I purchased a 1970 NOva with a 1966 327 in it. The tired shortblock along with TRW pistons and a Crane .480 lift cam was given to Grant Wick for a rebuild. Afterwards a set of 1966 humpy heads, an Air-Gap Performer mainifold and a 600 Holley Double pumper were added. Thanks to my man of lead, Jim Peterson, I don't fret about early retirement of either my pistons which push 10.5 compression or my soft old school heads. I also found Jim's formula not only easier to deal with but alot cheaper than mixing 92 with 110. Jim helped me to the nostalgic musclecar era without burning holes in either pockets or pistons.
